The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the manager of Paragon Clinics and Imaging Diagnosis, a private health facility in Port Harcourt. This action is part of ongoing investigations following the death of Rebekah Tamunotorukubu Sekidika, a first-class graduate of Microbiology from Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, Edo State.

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrest of the clinic manager and stated that the doctor and another individual involved in administering the anaesthetic were invited for questioning but failed to comply. Iringe-Koko expressed disappointment over their non-compliance and affirmed that the investigation has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further examination.

Two other individuals initially arrested in connection with the incident have been released as their roles at the facility were deemed unrelated to the case.
