Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has fulfilled his administration's promise of N2 million cash awards to the Best Graduating Students of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED). The governor announced this pledge during the combined convocation for the 2020/2021, 2021/2022, and 2022/2023 academic sessions.

Presenting the cheques to the outstanding students on behalf of the governor, the state Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, reiterated the government's commitment to rewarding exceptional learners. He highlighted the administration's tradition of honoring the overall best graduating students in both public and private tertiary institutions with N2 million cash awards and automatic employment opportunities.

Prof. Arigbabu emphasized that during the TASUED convocation ceremony in November 2023, Governor Abiodun extended the gesture to the best graduating students of each college within the institution, offering them N500,000 cash rewards.

Expressing their gratitude, the Best Graduating Students for 2021, Sunday Gbodogbe; 2022, Patricia Ogadinma; and 2023, Mercy Sanyaolu, commended the governor for his commitment to students' welfare. They regarded the initiative as a testament to the state government's dedication and agenda for the well-being of students.

Nelson Okewale from the Department of Mathematics and Abosede Adelekan from the Department of English Studies, representing the First Class students, also praised the governor's efforts in promoting and supporting hardworking students.

Governor Abiodun's fulfillment of the cash award promise underscores the government's recognition of academic excellence and commitment to nurturing a conducive environment for educational advancement in Ogun State.
