The Founder of the ABSU Press Club, Comrade Okon Victor, has passionately charged the newly inaugurated press club executives for the 2023/2024 academic session to demonstrate dedication and strive for excellence in their journalistic endeavors. Represented by Comrade Chibueze Miracle, the former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NAPS/APAGS, Okon emphasized the crucial values of integrity, accuracy, and fairness in their practice.
"I Congratulate the newly elected executives of the ABSU Press Club led by Comrade Blessing Nnubia (Blessed Pen) on this occasion of their Inauguration Ceremony. I am honored to be a part of this milestone, and I'm thrilled to see the next generation of leaders take the reins.
"As the Founder of this great club, I want to remind you that the ABSU Press Club is still in its development stage. It's up to you to improve and grow it into a formidable force in the world of journalism. Remember, this club is built on the principles of selfless service. In her inaugural speech, the newly elected Press Club President, Comrade Blessing Nnubia (Blessed Pen), assured that her team would deliver on their promises and collaborate with the Student Union Government (SUG) PRO and others to strengthen the information sector. She committed to upholding the values of selfless service, integrity, accuracy, and fairness in their journalistic practices.
