Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, announced automatic employment for Miss Adedayo Janet, the best-graduating student of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa. The governor made this announcement during the second convocation ceremony of the university held in Okitipupa. Additionally, Governor Aiyedatiwa approved a grant of N1.2 billion to the institution to complete some abandoned projects on the campus.

In his address at the convocation, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his honor in attending the convocation as the Visitor to the university. He highlighted the significance of ongoing projects, such as the School of Maritime Transport and Logistics, in enhancing the development of the Blue Economy in the country.

Furthermore, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of education by allocating a capital grant of N1.2 billion in the 2024 budget to OAUSTECH for the completion of abandoned buildings and enhancing the institution's operations. He assured that the institution's monthly subvention of N91 million would be given due consideration.

In response, the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Adebo Adesomoju, thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for directing the continuation of ongoing construction projects within the institution. The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, revealed that a total of 1,202 students were conferred with first degrees during the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions.
