The selection process included various criteria to ensure a broad distribution across the 26 wards of the Federal Constituency, encompassing universities, polytechnics, and schools of nursing.
No fewer than 400 undergraduates from the Akoko Southeast and Southwest Federal Constituency in Ondo State have received bursaries from Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati, the lawmaker representing the constituency. Each student was awarded N50,000 to alleviate their financial burdens.
Oluwole Ehinola, the media aide to Adefarati, announced that the bursary scheme invited applications from all eligible students in tertiary institutions within the constituency. The selection process included various criteria to ensure a broad distribution across the 26 wards of the Federal Constituency, encompassing universities, polytechnics, and schools of nursing.

Ehinola stated, “We ensured over 50 percent of the candidates were shortlisted on merit while interests across political parties and traditional institutions were taken care of, while students with special courses were also considered.” He further assured that the program would be expanded in the future to include more candidates.
Constituents are encouraged to apply in the next round if they did not benefit this year.
