Ondo Student Clinches N7.5 Million Scholarship in InterswitchSPAK National Science Contest

Abraham Daramola from Hallmark Secondary School in Ondo State emerged as the overall winner of the 2023 InterswitchSPAK National Science Competition. The annual event organized by Interswitch group, a leading integrated payments and digital commerce company, witnessed participation from approximately 17,000 students across the nation.

Abraham Daramola, securing the top spot, was awarded a university education scholarship valued at N7.5 million, spread over five years. In addition to the scholarship, he will receive a monthly stipend throughout his studies, a laptop, and a certificate of recognition as the best STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) student in Nigeria.

The second and third place winners, Emmanuel Omoegbeleghan from The Crescent International School, Ogun State, and Emmanuel Angelo-Hyuwa from The Ambassadors College, Ogun State, earned N4 million and N1 million scholarships, respectively.

Vincent Ogbunude, Managing Director of Interswitch Cards and Tokens (Verve), expressed the company's commitment to illuminating the path for the next generation to excel in science and technology. The competition, now in its fifth year, has directly impacted over 80,000 students in Nigeria and Kenya, fostering interest in STEM subjects.
