In a remarkable achievement, Nursing Science students from Rhema University in Aba, Nigeria, have displayed exceptional performance in the recently concluded basic nursing exams conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Out of the 33 candidates who sat for the examinations, an impressive 32 successfully passed, underlining the high standards maintained by the university's Nursing Science department. However, one student received a referral in one course.

Expressing his satisfaction, Professor Ogbonnaya Onwudike, the Vice Chancellor of Rhema University, lauded the successful candidates for bringing pride to the institution. He emphasized the necessity for sustained effort, reminding the students that more challenges lay ahead on their path to becoming qualified nurses and midwives. The Vice Chancellor assured that the university remained committed to producing high-quality professionals for the global healthcare sector.

The Head of the Department of Nursing Science, Dr. Florence Udoinyang, joined in commending the students for their outstanding results. She also praised the university for fostering an enabling environment conducive to academic success.

"While we celebrate this achievement, there is still work to be done," Dr. Udoinyang remarked. "My colleagues and I are dedicated to ensuring that our students consistently excel in both internal and external examinations, ultimately becoming world-class graduates in nursing and midwifery."

These students constitute the inaugural batch of Nursing Science candidates from Rhema University to undertake the professional Nursing and Midwifery Council exams. This accomplishment follows the recent full accreditation granted to the university's Nursing Science department by both the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Established in the 2009/2010 academic year, Rhema University is set to celebrate its 14th matriculation ceremony during the 2023/2024 academic session. The university continues to make strides in producing highly competent and skilled professionals in various fields.
