PAAU Vice-Chancellor Appoints Uredo Omale as PRO, Babaniyi Ayo-Olowasimi as Technical Assistant

The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Uredo Omale as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the university.

The appointment takes immediate effect as conveyed in a letter signed by the University Registrar, Barr. Yahaya Segun Alilu, PhD.

Until her appointment, Mrs. Omale served as Director of Public Relations and Protocol at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, for six years, from 2020 to 2026.

Mrs. Omale is a seasoned communications professional whose experience and dedication have continued to shape institutional public relations practice.

During her tenure at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, she played a significant role in strengthening the Polytechnic’s public image, coordinating media engagements and building productive relationships between the institution and its stakeholders.

Her commitment, professionalism, and ability to manage institutional communication effectively earned her a Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her impactful service before transferring her service to Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.

As Public Relations Officer, she is expected to promote the university’s image and reputation through strategic media and public engagement, bring her wealth of experience to bear in managing internal and external communications, build relationships with media professionals and coordinate external relations and protocol services in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

In a related development, the Vice-Chancellor also approved the appointment of Babaniyi Power Ayo-Olowasimi as Technical Assistant.

Until his appointment, Babaniyi, a technology innovator and digital systems specialist, had served in various capacities, including Head of the MIS Unit, Administrative and Training Officer, Technical Secretary of the Strategic Planning Committee, member of the Blackboard Integration Team and most recently, Head of the Data Management Unit.

With this new responsibility, he is expected to support the Vice-Chancellor in advancing strategic ICT initiatives, strengthening the university’s digital infrastructure and promoting innovative technology solutions within the institution.
