Police Detain NSCDC Officers After Shooting Incident at Abuja School
The victims are currently undergoing treatment at Gwarinpa Hospital, while outraged high school students reportedly vandalized three NSCDC patrol vehicles in protest.
In a disturbing turn of events, three officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been arrested by the Nigeria Police for allegedly shooting two students at Senior Secondary School, Life Camp, in the Jabi and Gwarinpa areas of the Federal Capital Territory.
The victims are currently undergoing treatment at Gwarinpa Hospital, while outraged high school students reportedly vandalized three NSCDC patrol vehicles in protest.

The incident unfolded around 11:20 am on Wednesday, as FCT Police Command officers intervened to restore peace. The NSCDC officers were present at the school to provide security during an ongoing examination.
FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, assuring that peace has been restored. An investigation has been initiated under the direction of CP Haruna Garba.

Despite attempts to obtain comments from the NSCDC, the FCT Command is yet to officially address the situation. NSCDC spokesperson Comfort Okomanyi cited illness and promised to provide updates after consulting with the command.
