Prof. Lawal Suleiman Bilbis chaired the 48th inaugural lecture at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), marking his final official event as Vice Chancellor. The lecture, titled "LEADERSHIP: What Has It Got to Do with It," was delivered by Prof. Dejo A. Abdulrahman from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the university's auditorium.

Prof. Abdulrahman, who presented the 28th inaugural lecture under Prof. Bilbis's tenure, explored the complexities of leadership within various contexts, including national and cultural dimensions. He discussed the challenges of leadership in times of crisis and provided examples from institutional, national, and global perspectives.

Prof. Abdulrahman, a renowned scholar from Ojomu compound, Offa, Kwara State, has a distinguished academic background, including degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and Chicago State University. He has been a significant figure in the academic community, serving as the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at both UDUS and Federal University Gusau, among other roles.
