Prof. Omenugha Pays Condolence Visit to Prof. Chukwueloka Over Wife's Sudden Demise
Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU, )visited Prof. C.C. Chukwueloka to offer condolences over the sudden passing of his wife, Dr. Chioma Chukwueloka, emphasizing the importance of faith and University support during difficult times.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, visited the home of Prof. C.C. Chukwueloka from the Department of English Language on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, to offer her condolences following the sudden passing of his wife, Dr. Chioma Chukwueloka. Dr. Chioma, a respected lecturer in the Department of Public Administration at the University, was deeply mourned by colleagues and the academic community.
During her visit, Prof. Omenugha encouraged Prof. Chukwueloka to find solace in faith. She emphasized the importance of staying strong during such challenging times, sharing her personal experience of loss to offer comfort and understanding.

"Prof., please be strong and be a man. At times we get to a point in life where we question the unknown but, be strong because God in His infinite Mercy knows it all. We have at some point had our fair share of experiences of this nature. My Mother left when I was 11 years old and here we are today still pushing. Be strong because God knows the best," Prof. Omenugha expressed.
Prof. Omenugha highlighted the unwavering support of the University community, stating, "I got the information yesterday through the Head of Department of Public Administration, Prof. Ego Dike, and I decided to be here today to mourn with you and show you that you belong to a family that will never forsake you. The University Community will stand by you in this journey and see that you pull through. May the ever-gracious God give you the heart to bear this very painful irreplaceable loss. Please, keep us in the know as we progress."

She also expressed concern over the increasing number of deaths within the University and announced plans for a special prayer day, emphasizing the need for collective spiritual support: "If we cut off from God, we can do nothing."
