Professor Patricia Manko Lar Acting VC of University of Abuja Calls for Increased Funding

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Patricia Manko Lar, has appealed to the Federal Government to increase funding to the institution to support its ongoing development and transformation.

During a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Dr. George Akume, in Abuja, Professor Lar highlighted the university's significant growth and the need for additional support to sustain and expand its initiatives.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and interventions in the education sector, which have contributed to national educational improvement.

Dr. Akume reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to supporting tertiary education and emphasized the need for dynamic leadership and accountability in revitalizing Nigeria's higher education system. He congratulated Professor Lar on her appointment and urged her to work towards making the University of Abuja globally competitive.
