Minna, Niger State - The serene community of Gbaiko in Bosso, Minna, was rocked by a brutal crime as Dr. Adefolalu Fumilola, a revered lecturer at the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna, was discovered murdered in her residence. Dr. Fumilola, who served in the Department of Biochemistry within the School of Life Sciences, met a tragic end, shocking the academic and local community.

The distressing discovery was made by her concerned church members who, alarmed by her absence at the Sunday service, decided to check on her. To their horror, they found Dr. Fumilola's lifeless body in a pool of blood inside her home. The police, upon arrival, noted that she had been subjected to multiple stab wounds, and the weapons used in the heinous crime were found next to her lifeless form.

Professor Gbolahan Bolarin, the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) at FUT Minna, confirmed the grim details. It is suspected that the motive behind this gruesome act was more than just a mere burglary gone wrong, given the brutal nature of the crime.
