Redeemer's University's Prof. Happi and Others Honored with HLF Role Model Awards

Prof. Christian Happi, Director of the African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases (ACEGID) at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has been honored with the Hallmarks of Labour Foundation (HLF) Role Model Award for his outstanding contributions to medicine and science.

Prof. Christian Happi, the Director of the African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases (ACEGID) at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has been selected for the prestigious Hallmarks of Labour Foundation (HLF) Role Model Award for this year. Alongside Happi, several other distinguished individuals have also been recognized for their outstanding contributions to medicine, science, and humanity across Africa.

The announcement was made by Prof. Oladapo Ashiru, President of the Academy of Medicine Specialties and a renowned consultant reproductive endocrinologist. Expressing his delight over the selection, Prof. Ashiru emphasized the pride that the Academy feels in acknowledging the exemplary achievements of Happi and his fellow awardees.

Past recipients of the award, both living and deceased, include eminent personalities such as Prof. Peter Okebukola, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Prof. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and Prof. Attahiru Jega, among others. These individuals have left indelible marks in their respective spheres of influence, serving as inspirations for future generations.
