The University of Ibadan has issued a directive to certain candidates applying for the 2023/2024 academic session, stating that they must defer their admission on age grounds. This decision arises from the requirement that candidates must be at least sixteen (16) years old by the date of Matriculation, scheduled for April 23, 2024.

Candidates falling within this category are requested to formally write to the Admissions Office (Undergraduate) to request the deferral of their admission to the 2024/2025 academic session. Along with their request, candidates must provide evidence of payment of the Acceptance Fee.

It is important for candidates to understand that the deferment of admission is applicable for only one academic session. Additionally, eligibility for resumption in the following academic session is contingent upon the candidate attaining the age of sixteen (16) years before the Matriculation date of that academic session.
