Salem University Celebrates 16th Anniversary
Salem University in Lokoja celebrated its 16th anniversary on May 17, 2024. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alewo Johnson-Akubo praised the institution’s achievements in training young Nigerians to become future global leaders.
Salem University, Lokoja, marks its 16th anniversary, celebrating its role in shaping young Nigerians into future global leaders. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alewo Johnson-Akubo highlighted the university’s achievements in an interview with newsmen, attributing its success to the visionary leadership of Founder and Chancellor, Archbishop Sam Amaga.
Prof. Johnson-Akubo praised Archbishop Amaga as an exemplary leader and philanthropist whose contributions have transformed the lives of Nigerian youths and international students. He emphasized the university's commitment to academic excellence and its accreditation by the National University Commission (NUC).
“Salem University stands as a testament to Archbishop Amaga’s vision, providing opportunities for youths to pursue their destinies across various fields,” said Prof. Johnson-Akubo. The university’s strong performance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022 underscores its global standing.
