Sansadeen Awosanya Establishes Altheia University in Ogun State

Major-General Sansadeen Adebanjo Awosanya (retd.) has announced his entry into the private university sector in Nigeria with the establishment of Altheia University, located in Ogun State. The university aims to distinguish itself through its leadership team, notably appointing accomplished economist and former Minister of Industry, Chief Mrs. Onikepo Akande, as its pro-chancellor and chairman.

The university's board includes prominent figures such as former Deputy Governor of Ogun State Senator Adegbenga Kaka, former Head of Service of the Federation Prof. Oladapo Afolabi, and former Vice-Chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University Prof. Ganiyu Olatunde, among others.

In addition to unveiling its Governing Council, Altheia University has also revealed the members of its Board of Trustees, which includes Prof. Saburi Adesanya and Mrs. Adeola Simon, among others.

During his military tenure, Awosanya served as Chief Paymaster General and received several medals for his service, including the Forces Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Distinguished Service Star, and United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon medal.
