Lola Okunrin, a young man, expressed profound grief over the tragic demise of Oba Olatunde Samuel, the Onimojo of Imojo, who fell victim to the recent attacks by suspected herdsmen in Ekiti State. Alongside Oba Samuel, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, also met a similar fate in the onslaught that occurred around the Oke-Ako and Ipao-Ekiti axis in Ajoni Local Government Area of the state.

Despite being from a different department, Oba Samuel left an indelible mark as Okunrin's "best lecturer." He fondly recalled an instance in class where Oba Samuel, with his characteristic wisdom and gentle demeanor, ingeniously explained the concept of formwork in construction, leaving a lasting impression on his students.
