SOSSA Celebrates Nigeria’s 64th Independence at PLASU

The Social Sciences Students Association (SOSSA) of Plateau State University, Bokkos, extends warm Independence Day greetings to all students, celebrating Nigeria's 64th anniversary of freedom. In a heartfelt message, the association reflected on the nation's resilience, diversity, and enduring strength.
"Happy 64th Independence Day! As Nigeria celebrates its independence, we reflect on the resilience, diversity, and strength of our great nation. As students of Plateau State University, Bokkos, you embody the hope and promise of a brighter future," read the statement, shared by Public Relations Officer Gyang Destiny Yakubu (Smart) on behalf of Mashat Palang, President of the Social Sciences Faculty.
The message encouraged students to become active citizens, inspired by the day to shape Nigeria’s future with their potential, creativity, and determination. The celebration at PLASU was marked with enthusiasm and a sense of pride as students joined the nationwide reflection on Nigeria's journey toward development.
SOSSA's leadership, including Kespo Mbentang John and 24 others, emphasized the importance of understanding and unity among students, calling for a collective effort in building a better Nigeria.
