Taraba State University Jalingo Partners with Digital Bridge Institute for 2024 ADEPTI Programme
Taraba State University Jalingo has collaborated with the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) to host the second phase of the 2024 ADEPTI programme, aimed at enhancing digital literacy and promoting technological advancement.
Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunday Paul Bako, the university welcomed DBI officials, led by Training Coordinator (ADAPT) Mr. Ohia Omiri (JP), to campus.
Representing Professor Bako, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr. Reuben Jonathan, alongside Prof. Mahmud Hamidu Umar, DVC Development Services, Dr. Isreal Habibu, Digital Librarian, and Prof. Joseph U. Okeke, Director ICT, received the DBI team.
The ADEPTI programme seeks to bridge the digital divide and foster innovation in Nigeria. This phase focuses on improving participants' proficiency in Data Analysis using SPSS and Internet and Office Productivity Tools (IOPT).
Dr. Jonathan expressed appreciation for the partnership, emphasizing the significance of digital literacy in today's technology-driven world.
Prof. Okeke noted that the workshop aims to equip teaching and non-teaching staff with 21st-century skills, advancing the university's goals for impactful education and work-readiness programs.
Professor Bako reaffirmed the university's commitment to strategic partnerships and collaborations promoting academic excellence, innovation, and community development.
