TASUED Student Wins ₦5 Million AND International Master’s Scholarship at African Summit—You Won’t Believe How She Did It
A TASUED student, Miss Adebayo Oluwabusayomi Ehinome, won the Future Visionary Challenge at the 2026 African Legacy Summit, earning a ₦5 million cash prize and a fully funded Master’s scholarship in hospitality-related studies.
The Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo, has congratulated Miss Adebayo Oluwabusayomi Ehinome, a 300-level student of the Department of Home Economics and Hotel Management, following her outstanding performance at the 2026 African Legacy Summit.
Miss Ehinome emerged winner of the Future Visionary Challenge, securing a ₦5 million cash prize and a fully funded Master’s scholarship in a hospitality-related discipline after excelling in a highly competitive continental contest that brought together top student innovators across Africa.
Describing the achievement as remarkable, the Vice-Chancellor said it has brought pride, honour, and international recognition to the university community. In a statement issued on behalf of the university management, staff, students, and alumni, he praised her creativity, confidence, innovation, and strong presentation skills throughout the competition.
The competition took place at the African Legacy Summit, widely regarded as one of the largest gatherings of students and professionals in Africa’s hospitality, travel, and tourism industry. This year’s edition featured participants from 26 tertiary institutions across Nigeria, with students presenting innovative ideas and business solutions aimed at transforming the sector.

According to reports, the challenge followed a rigorous three-stage pitching process that saw 112 students present entrepreneurial concepts before panels of judges and industry experts. After multiple rounds of evaluation, Miss Ehinome emerged overall winner, outperforming contestants from several institutions across the continent.
University management described her success as a clear reflection of the quality of training, entrepreneurial exposure, and innovation-driven culture being promoted within TASUED. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the institution remains committed to producing globally competitive graduates equipped with practical skills, leadership capacity, and creative problem-solving abilities.
He further noted that the victory demonstrates how TASUED students can compete effectively on both national and international stages when provided with the right environment and institutional support.
