Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Official Meets Students, of  Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) Student Union Government, students' Union leader, Muhammad Shamsudeen Umar  applauded the intervention of the agency in areas like the building of Lecture halls, Library intervention, Staff Training & Development, and research grants.

The delegate of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has met with the Students' Union Caretaker Committee of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto on an evaluation visit yesterday, Wednesday, 05, April 2023.

In the meeting held within the Vice Chancellor's Complex, the student representatives were briefed about the activities, objectives, and mission of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and were further interviewed about the presence and essence of their interventions in the university.

In an interview with the Public Affairs team of TETFund, the students' Union leader, Muhammad Shamsudeen Umar asked for the extension of the initiative to the provision of an additional hall of residence considering the increasing population of the University compared to the available hall of residence. Meanwhile, he also applauded the intervention of the agency in areas like the building of Lecture halls, Library intervention, Staff Training & Development, and research grants, among others.

Aisha Abubakar, a student of Microbiology during a conversation with the TETFund team expressed appreciation on behalf of her fellow coursemates for the standard laboratory which assisted them in their undergraduate projects.

In her words, "We don't longer have to go to private labs nor go all the way to city campus for practicals. All thanks to the TETFund and we are undoubtedly the beneficiaries of the knowledge that our lecturers gained from abroad when TETFund funded their training".

The public affairs team of TETFund noted the suggestions made with the promise to further the discussion with the concerned departments at the executive level.
