TETFund Technical Committee Conducts 2024 Oversight Visit to Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Technical Committee on Monitoring paid an oversight visit to Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna, as part of its 2024 assessment tour of beneficiary institutions across the country.

The delegation, led by Martha Chioma Mbalesi, was warmly received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Aliyu Paiko, represented by Depends Vice Chancellor, Prof. Tsado Jacob, alongside other principal officers of the University. The visit aimed to evaluate the implementation of TETFund sponsored projects and ensure compliance with approved standards, timelines, and financial accountability.

In his welcome remarks, Prof. Paiko expressed appreciation to TETFund for its consistent support towards the growth and infrastructural development of Abdulkadir Kure University. He assured the Committee of the University’s commitment to judicious utilization of all intervention funds in line with TETFund guidelines.

The oversight team inspected several ongoing and completed projects, including the ongoing Construction of Faculty of Allied Health Science, ICT facilities, libraries etc, commending the quality of work and progress made so far.

Speaking on behalf of the Technical Committee, Martha Chioma Mbalesi lauded the University for its transparency and adherence to due process in project execution. She emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between TETFund and beneficiary institutions to enhance the standard of tertiary education in Nigeria.

The visit concluded with a debriefing session where key observations were shared, and recommendations provided to further strengthen institutional efficiency and delivery.
