The FG expects you all to begin new dispensation as innovators- NYSC official tells corps members

The Service Innovation and Sensitisation Facilitator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr. Jolayemi Kunle has told the 2022 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members that the Federal Government believes in them to begin a new dispensation as innovators.

He made this known during the sensitization on Service Innovation at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State on Monday.

Myschoolnews reports Jolayemi said Corps Members are first graduates and have been trained by their respective institutions, and as a result, they have the capacity to carry on the change mandate to begin a new dispensation and take the country to greater heights.

Speaking on the reason the Corps Members were chosen by the Scheme, Jolayemi said they have the “ability to reason and think objectively,” and that the programme is specifically for those whose ability to effect change is at the forefront.

He also said innovation and creativity are mutually inclusive, as one gives birth to the other in the long run. Jolayemi further stated that Corps Members are inducted into the Scheme so that they can put on their “thinking caps” in solving impeding problems.

Jolayemi enjoined Corps Members to be able to commercialise their ideas and also create one, as these are the qualities the Scheme look out for before recruitment.

According to him, focus of the Scheme is to catch young people, especially those in secondary schools in order to guide them through problem-solving ideas and also the commercialisation of ideas, too.

In this vein, he said the Scheme looks to improve by looking out for people who think and observe; people who analyse situations and proffer solutions; people whose opinion are of great importance into making the country great.
