A group of young entrepreneurs, professionals from diverse industries across Africa under the aegis of 'Think Green Africa' have decorated Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar, Rector of Auchi Polytechnic with a Green Tree Award.

A group of young entrepreneurs, professionals from diverse industries across Africa under the aegis of 'Think Green Africa' have decorated Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar, Rector of Auchi Polytechnic with a Green Tree Award.

Led by Kings Joseph Chukwudi, Director General of TGA, the group paid a courtesy call on the Rector at his Office in Auchi Polytechnic.

Think Green Africa extolled the virtues of the Polytechnic Chief Executive -noting that his unwavering support and commitment to a green Africa where food security has become  a matter of urgent concern moved them to motivate the Rector to continue in his stead of helping to keep Agriculture and Agro-related activities alive through education and technological innovation.

On his part, Dr. S.S. Umar appreciated the group for honoring him and promised to continue to do his quota to better humanity.

He noted that Green is the way to go if the issues challenging food security in Africa are to be addressed.
