The SEAP delegation, introduced by Ms. Akinbola Mariam, Head of Human Resources, included Adeboye Yetunde (Head, Risk Department), Elegboja Tosin (Head, Monitoring and Evaluation), Adewale Adedamola (Head, Legal Department), Oladele Olabode (Head, Finance and Accounts), Eleja Sakariyau (Head, Internal Audit), and Ayoola Kehinde (Information Officer). Ms. Akinbola expressed the team’s gratitude for the University’s warm hospitality.
Welcoming the delegation, Professor Oladipo presented a detailed overview of the University’s vision and strategic direction in her presentation titled “Building on a Proud Legacy.” She outlined TAU’s academic focus areas—STEM-i (Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine, Management and Social Sciences, and Innovation)—and reaffirmed the University’s mission as “Africa’s Knowledge Hub and the Light of the Community.”
The Vice-Chancellor highlighted TAU’s academic growth since its establishment in 2021, noting that the institution currently offers 29 undergraduate and 27 postgraduate programmes, alongside professional certifications aimed at improving students’ employability and leadership capacity. She emphasized TAU’s partnerships with international institutions and its sustainability-driven initiatives.

Professor Oladipo further revealed that TAU produces up to 85 percent of its food needs through its agricultural projects. She also showcased the University’s Free SDGs Summer School, aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and the TAU Career Centre, where every student graduates with at least two professional certifications in addition to their degree.
She unveiled the floor plan for the upcoming Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation—one of TAU’s landmark projects designed to nurture creativity and self-reliance among students. Expressing her delight, Professor Oladipo commended SEAP’s dedication to economic empowerment and hinted at potential collaborations between both institutions.
In his response, Pastor (Dr.) Oladokun expressed deep appreciation for the warm welcome and lauded the University’s rapid progress and innovation-driven vision, describing TAU as “a rising star in Nigeria’s higher education landscape.”
He shared his personal journey from humble beginnings to founding SEAP—an organization focused on microcredit, poverty alleviation, and entrepreneurship development. He explained that SEAP’s diversification into sectors such as water production, poultry farming, and product distribution (including Vitali and Unilever) illustrates the power of faith, discipline, and purposeful vision.
The SEAP Chairman emphasized the values of wisdom, faith, and focus as critical tools for success and expressed gratitude to TAU for the forthcoming honorary recognition, which he noted would be his third such award. He pledged his continued support for the University through future collaborations and philanthropic efforts, stating, “You need to help somebody to help you. We will be ambassadors of Thomas Adewumi University.”
The visit concluded with a guided campus tour, where Pastor (Dr.) Oladokun and his team inspected key facilities including the solar farm, engineering workshop, vocational centre, faculty buildings, and agricultural farms.
