UI College of Medicine Alumnus Visits UCH Management to Strengthen Institutional Ties
An esteemed alumnus of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (COM/UI), Professor Akinyemi Ojesina, paid a courtesy visit to the management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Wednesday, 4th September 2025.

An esteemed alumnus of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (COM/UI), Professor Akinyemi Ojesina, paid a courtesy visit to the management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Wednesday, 4th September 2025.
The visit took place at the hospital’s boardroom.
Prof. Ojesina, a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin, United States of America, was introduced to the hospital leadership by the Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Prof. Taiwo Lawal. He is in the country as a Guest Lecturer at the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.
The Chief Medical Director of UCH, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, warmly received Prof. Ojesina and expressed appreciation for his visit. He commended the alumnus for maintaining strong ties with his alma mater and encouraged other alumni to emulate his commitment by contributing their expertise and resources to support the advancement of the institution and the improvement of healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
