Full Explanation of clearance process and documents needed for University of Ibadan resumption. 

The school is resuming on Monday 21st of August but the clearance is starting by Wednesday 23rd till September 1.

1. Documents needed for the clearance:

A. JAMB Admission LETTER (Coloured).

B. Olevel Results. (Not necessarily an original certificate).

C. Two Reference Letters from reputable persons addressed to The Registrar, University of Ibadan. The reference letters should be on a Letterhead. Don't forget you'll need another reference letter addressed to The Hall Warden of the Hall of Residence that will be allocated to you.

D. Birth Certificate or affidavit of age declaration.

E. Passport photographs (minimum of 30 copies).

F. A file folder and tag. This is a UI branded file folder. You cannot get it anywhere else except on campus. But please wait until you get to the clearance venue before you buy it. There are pirated copies of the branded file folder and there are many colors.

The clearance officers are going to give you a specific description of what they will ACCEPT from you.

G. Acceptance Fee payment receipt (the Remitta receipt)

2. You don't need to fill the JAMB 003 Form. Just print it and bring it along if you can. If you don't have it, you'll get it at the clearance venue.

3. Bring money for photocopies. Or make enough photocopies of your documents if you can. You'll be needing it at different points of registration. If possible, make enough photocopies of your documents before coming on campus. Indispensable documents include: JAMB Admission LETTER, Olevel Results, Original JAMB Result, Birth Certificate and Acceptance Fee payment receipt.

4. If your name is not on the clearance list, you don't have to panic as long as you've been admitted and you've done all the necessary things required of you. Check the clearance list and identify your Department ,then check the day and date and come on that day for the clearance even if your name is not there.

5. Print your Original JAMB Result (Coloured) and make enough photocopies of it. You'll need it.

6. Get enough passport photographs (at least 30 copies).

7. Bring money.

8. School and accommodation fees would be announced anytime soon. Sadly, you might need to pay those fees before you could do some registrations.

9. General Resumption remains Monday, 21st August. 

Freshers should expect their hall allocation between now and Sunday, but you can't do some things without paying the necessary fees.

Clearance into the halls of residences will start from Sunday, 20th August, 2023, but you can't be cleared into the Halls without paying the Accommodation fee. Although you could be given a temporary accommodation before you'll be cleared into the Halls.
