The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, fspsp, has commended the International School Ibadan (ISI) for maintaining the university’s high standards of excellence. Professor Adebowale made the remarks during the official opening of the newly constructed ISI Multipurpose Hall on the school's premises.

Highlighting ISI’s alignment with the University of Ibadan’s mission of pursuing academic excellence to meet societal needs, the Vice-Chancellor praised both staff and students for representing the university with distinction. He also pledged continued support from the university to further develop ISI.

Professor Adebowale extended special thanks to Engr. Akinkunmi Ajisafe, an alumnus of the university and contractor for the project through his firm, 360 Habitat Ltd., for successfully completing the multipurpose hall.

The Chairman of the ISI Board of Governors, Professor Aderonke Baiyeroju, expressed her gratitude to the University management and the entire ISI community for their roles in making the project a reality. She proudly noted that no loans or donations were required to complete the facility.

Dr. O. O. Oyebola, Chairman of the Parents/Teachers Association, lauded the school's management for the successful project, pledging continued support for future initiatives. ISI Principal, Mr. Yinka Akintunde, emphasized the importance of the new hall in inspiring students and fostering an improved learning environment.

The state-of-the-art multipurpose building boasts an 800-seat capacity, restrooms, a VIP lounge, changing rooms, kitchenettes, media rooms, and a gallery, meeting both the needs of the school and the broader community.
