UIMGA to Honour Distinguished Members, Including Vice President Shettima and Governor Zulum, at Homecoming Event

The University of Ibadan Muslim Graduates’ Association (UIMGA) is set to host a homecoming program on Sunday to recognize and honor some of its distinguished members. Among those to be honored are the Vice President of the nation, Kashim Shettima; Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum; Deputy Governors of Oyo and Lagos states, Bayo Lawal and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.
Additionally, the event will acknowledge the contributions of Professor Musturah Oyebisi Azeez, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ilorin, and Professor Hameed Adetunji of Umul Qurah University, Saudi Arabia. Senators Sharafadeen Alli, Yunus Akintunde, and Lere Oyewumi, along with other notable professors, will also be among the honorees.
The program, scheduled to take place at the University of Ibadan Mosque Hall at 10:00 a.m., will be presided over by Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, the Managing Director of First Bank Nigeria. Royal fathers, including the Olowu of Owu Kingdom and the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, will grace the occasion.
The guest speaker, Mutalubi Adebayo Ojo, SAN, will delve into the topic 'Religions, Worships, Political Participation and Governance: Service to Humanity or to both Humanity and God?'

The event coincides with the 75th anniversary of the University of Ibadan, making Professor Kayode Adebowale, the Vice-Chancellor, the chief host. The association encourages the Muslim community to attend this significant homecoming event, fostering unity and celebrating the achievements of its distinguished members.
