UNIABUJA Appoints Mrs. Shiva Rae M’ovul-Kondoun as New Bursar
The Governing Council of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has appointed Mrs. Shiva Rae M’ovul-Kondoun as the new bursar. The decision was made at the Council’s 70th Extra-Ordinary meeting held on October 24, 2024. Her appointment is set for a five-year term.
The Governing Council of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has officially appointed Mrs. Shiva Rae M’ovul-Kondoun as the institution’s new bursar. According to a statement signed by the acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, the appointment was confirmed at the 70th Extra-Ordinary meeting of the University Governing Council held on Thursday, October 24, 2024. M’ovul-Kondoun will serve in this capacity for a single five-year term.
About Mrs. Shiva Rae M’ovul-Kondoun
Hailing from Logo Local Government Area in Benue State, M’ovul-Kondoun brings with her a rich background in accounting and finance. She began her educational journey at Queen of Rosary Secondary School in Gboko and later attended the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, where she earned a Diploma in Accounting. She then graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Benin in 1997 and obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from Benue State University in 2005. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting and Finance.
M’ovul-Kondoun's career began at Benue State University in 2001, where she ascended to the role of Deputy Bursar in 2012. Her extensive experience includes serving as acting bursar, contributing to the ANAN Governing Council, and leading the Professional Women Accountants in Nigeria (PROWAN). She is a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Certified Fraud Examiners of Nigeria (CIFCFEN).
Her appointment is seen as a significant addition to the financial administration of the University of Abuja.
