The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has issued a security advisory to students and the entire university community over an imminent terror attack on the school, Myschoolnews report.
This was contained in a memo signed by the institution's Registrar, Gabriel Egbe. It stated that an intelligence report gathered, indicates that there would be heightened cult activities and kidnapping within and around the University of Calabar environment by suspected militants through the waterways and adjoining creeks.
The suspected attacks are targeted at resident lecturers and identified students in the university.
He further advised Members of the university community to promptly report any unusual movement within and around the campus to the Ag. Chief Security Officer on 08078794663.
