University of Calabar UNICAL Management has recalled 3 students suspended over the presentation of fake receipts and other various cases of misconduct.
No fewer than three students of the institution who were involved in various cases of misconduct have been recalled from suspension by the Management of the University of Calabar.
Their recall from suspension conveyed in separate letters dated December 23, 2022, and signed by the University Registrar, Mr Gabriel Egbe was sequel to the approval of the recommendations of the Students' Disciplinary Committee dated December 14, 2022, which did not find them culpable of the allegations levelled against them.
It could be recalled that Okon, Flora E. of the Department of Social Works and Lazarus, Queen Anuri were placed on suspension over the alleged presentation of fake receipts in support of their application to write supplementary examinations. They have been recalled from suspension and cleared to take the supplementary examinations.
In the same vein, Sarah Douglas Haward of the Department of Radiography who was suspended from studies and her position in Man-O-War over acts of indiscipline/misconduct has been recalled to resume studies with effect from the 2020/2021 academic session.
According to the letter, the Deans of the affected Faculties and Heads of Departments are to fully restore them to the University.
