The University of Lagos has announced with pride the selection of six of its undergraduates for The Bridge Fellowship Programme, one of Nigeria’s most competitive leadership initiatives.

The students emerged successful from a pool of over 8,000 applicants nationwide, a feat that reflects the institution’s culture of academic excellence and leadership grooming.

The selected Bridge Fellows are:

  • Oluwaseun Oludemi – Faculty of Architecture
  • Kehinde Kadiri – Department of Building
  • Ugonma Akanwa – Department of Building
  • Al-Ameen Abolare – Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Treasure Adeolu – Mechanical Engineering
  • Temitope Aiyebogan – Systems Engineering

With an acceptance rate of less than 5%, their achievement underscores not only the calibre of UNILAG students but also their readiness to contribute to Africa’s transformation through innovation, leadership, and service.

Speaking on behalf of the university community, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, congratulated the fellows for distinguishing themselves and expressed confidence that their participation in the programme will be both transformative and impactful.
