Prof. David Oke, the Provost of CMUL, highlighted the significance of radiography as a dynamic medical specialty pivotal in diagnosing and treating a diverse range of diseases and conditions. Congratulating the inductees, Prof. Oke encouraged them to embrace continuous learning and strive for excellence as they embark on their professional journey.

"As radiographers, you'll be at the forefront of medical imaging technology, utilizing cutting-edge techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound to diagnose and monitor patients' health," Prof. Oke remarked. He emphasized that the rigorous training at CMUL has equipped the graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their careers.

Guest lecturer, Dr. Olabode Adewunmi, Medical Director of Funbod Medical Diagnosis, echoed the sentiment that radiographers play a vital role in the healthcare ecosystem. He emphasized the transformative impact of radiography, with ultrasound emerging as the next essential tool in healthcare, often referred to as the "new stethoscope."

"Radiography is all about saving lives, and people will depend on you," Dr. Adewunmi emphasized. He identified capacity, character, and spirituality as the key attributes that would propel young radiographers to the pinnacle of their careers.
