UNILAG Customer Service Week Spotlights Digitization with Student Essay Competition
The University of Lagos (UNILAG)’s 2025 International Customer Service Week (ICSW), themed "Mission Possible," entered Day 2 on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with the highly anticipated Students Essay Competition at the Tayo Aderinokun Hall, Akoka.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) continued its 2025 International Customer Service Week (ICSW) celebration on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with the much-anticipated Students’ Essay Competition, held at the Tayo Aderinokun Hall, Akoka campus.
Ten brilliant finalists took turns on stage to present essays on the theme, “Digitization and Self-Service: A Mission to Improve Service Delivery in the University of Lagos.”
Flagging off the competition, the Director of Quality Assurance and SERVICOM, Professor Olufemi Saibu, described the annual essay contest as one of the major highlights of the celebration—aimed at stimulating creative thinking and rewarding academic excellence among students.

Professor Saibu expressed optimism that the exercise would not only deepen students’ understanding of digitization and self-service but also boost their confidence in public engagement and communication.
Day 2 of the celebration also featured interactive team bonding sessions and fun activities, including various board games, fostering relaxation and collaboration among participants.
The 2025 UNILAG-ICSW celebration is scheduled to climax on Thursday, October 9, 2025, with a lineup of major events, including:
