UNILAG DVC (MS), Prof. L.O. Chukwu Appointed Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University
Professor Lucian Obinna Chukwu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) of UNILAG, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University, Delta State, for a five-year tenure starting February 28, 2025.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Lucian Obinna Chukwu, has been appointed as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University, Ibuzor, Delta State. His appointment is for a single tenure of five years, effective from Friday, February 28, 2025.
A statement released by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Folasade Boriowo, confirmed the Federal Government’s approval of Prof. Chukwu’s appointment following a rigorous selection exercise conducted by the University’s Governing Council.
According to the statement, Prof. Chukwu emerged as the top candidate, securing the highest score of 83.41% among five contenders interviewed during the selection process. The interviews took place between Wednesday, February 26, and Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Council Chamber of Admiralty University.
The Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on behalf of the management, staff, and students, extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Chukwu on his new appointment and wished him a successful tenure at Admiralty University.
