UNILORIN Former Director Advocates for Student Visas to Enhance International Education

Prof. Olugbenga Mokuolu, former Director of the Centre for International Education (CIE) at the University of Ilorin, has called on the Federal Government to introduce student visas to attract international students from beyond the ECOWAS region.

Speaking at the 11th International Students' Day, Prof. Mokuolu emphasized the need for a more efficient process, highlighting the challenges associated with obtaining Residency Permits. He commended recent reforms by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, but urged further action to facilitate student visa issuance.
