The University of Ilorin hosted a two-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI), emphasizing its role in enhancing educational practices and beyond. The event, held at the university auditorium on July 3, 2024, gathered distinguished lecturers, students, and experts from various fields to explore the transformative potential of AI.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), who could not attend in person, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Suleiman Funsho Ambali, underscored the importance of AI in augmenting human capabilities rather than supplanting them. He highlighted the workshop's goal of equipping participants with the necessary skills to navigate and harness AI's benefits responsibly across different sectors.

"The true power of Artificial Intelligence lies in augmenting human potential," Prof. Egbewole emphasized, noting AI's potential to revolutionize sectors from healthcare to education, fostering innovation and efficiency.

Addressing the audience, Prof. Rasheed G.
