UNILORIN Registrar Mansur Adeleke Alfanla Urges Staff to Uphold Professional Attitude for Career Success

Mr. Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, Registrar of the University of Ilorin, has emphasized the importance of professional attitude among the institution's staff. Addressing the staff on July 21, 2024, in an interview with the UNILORIN BULLETIN, Alfanla urged employees to reflect on their approach to work as a key determinant of their career advancement and personal success.

Alfanla highlighted that while academic and professional qualifications are crucial, the demeanor and work ethic of staff play a significant role in their career progression. He applauded the University’s recent positive evaluation by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and stressed that maintaining this high standard requires a serious commitment to their roles.

The Registrar, who previously served as the National Treasurer of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), warned that the current administration, led by Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy for indiscipline. He urged leaders of trade unions and socio-cultural organizations within the University to enforce adherence to established rules.

“Hard work and integrity will always be recognized and rewarded,” Alfanla assured. “Our focus remains on rewarding those who diligently fulfill their responsibilities.”
