UNILORIN Students Union Elects New Executive Committee
The University of Ilorin has held its Students' Union elections, resulting in the election of new executive members to represent the student body.

The University of Ilorin recently concluded its Students’ Union elections, resulting in the election of Victor Oghenetega Agezeh, a 300-level student of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, as the 37th President of the Students’ Union. Agezeh, popularly known as “VIGTEG”, emerged victorious in the election held on July 6, 2024.
According to the Chairman of the University of Ilorin Students' Electoral Commission (UISEC) for the 2022/2023 general election, Tijani Zainudeen Ayobami, Agezeh secured 12,026 votes. His closest rival, Abdullah Olanrewaju Adiamo, received 7,926 votes, while Solomon Ilemon Samuel garnered 5,168 votes.
Other newly elected executive members include:
- Rodiyah Oyeronke Adegoke as Vice President (PS)
- Sarah Oreoluwa Olukorode as Vice President for the College of Health Sciences

- Usman Adeyinka Adebayo of the Faculty of Information Sciences (CIS) as General Secretary
- Ramat Bukola Ganiyu as Assistant General Secretary
- Ayanfeoluwa Sangobiyi as Financial Secretary
- Habeeb Abiodun Aminu as Welfare Secretary for the College of Health Sciences
- Victor Tijesunimi as Welfare Secretary (PS)
- Abiodun Olalowu as Social Director
- Kamaldeen Yunus as Public Relations Officer
- Joseph Ajewole as Sports Secretary
Additionally, elections for the Senate Council, faculties, and hall representatives were conducted. Some of the notable elected Senate Council members are:
- Francis Olamide Adeboye, Abdul-Lateef Olaseeni Jamiu, Ruqayah Temitope Uthman-Ishola (Faculty of Agriculture)
- Naimot Opeyemi Jimoh, Saidat Olamide Lamina, Muhammed Gbolahan Ajani (Faculty of Art)
- Raheemah Fumilayo Abdulrahman-Raji, Opeyemi Enoch Afolayan, Yetunde Arinola Alawonla (Faculty of Basic Clinical Science)
- Ifeoluwa Adesewa Sodipo, Musa Morenikeji Mudashir, Samson Adeyanju Gbadamosi (Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences)
