UNILORIN VC Welcomes SchoolTry for Enhanced Learning Experience, Global Innovation

On Thursday (February 15, 2024), the Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, alongside key university officials, met with the team from School Try, a Swedish EdTech company managing the institution's portal. 

In December 2023, SchoolTry facilitated discussions between Professor Egbewole and Edgar Luczak, Co-founder of Epicenter Innovation House Stockholm, exploring potential partnerships to foster international collaboration for entrepreneurial students of UNILORIN. It also facilitated a meeting with Johan Weigelt, CEO, KI Innovations AB.

SchoolTry CEO, Ismail Eleburuike, reaffirmed their commitment to building a seamless and user-friendly portal for Unilorin's staff, students, and alumni. Mr Eleburuike who is also an alumnus of the university, further pledged support for the Vice Chancellor's initiative to establish innovation hubs within the university, fostering inspiration and providing knowledge tools for aspiring entrepreneurs and changemakers.

Professor Egbewole, known for his proactive approach, emphasised his commitment to equipping students with practical knowledge and experience, empowering them to contribute meaningfully and reach their full potential in this high-impact growth agenda.

The Vice Chancellor expressed optimism that SchoolTry's expertise aligns well with Unilorin's vision, particularly in enhancing global exposure for students and staff. This partnership holds promise for delivering significant value to our prestigious university.
