In a statement released by the University's Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, on Monday, March 18, 2024, the remarkable achievement of the institution was lauded, marking a significant milestone in its pursuit of innovation and technological advancement.

Representing Osun State with distinction at the prestigious event held at the Eagle Square in Abuja from March 11th to March 15th, 2024, was Abdullah Jimoh, a talented student hailing from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Osun State University. Jimoh's innovative project, titled 'Automated Chicken Feeder', clinched the second position, garnering widespread acclaim and recognition.

Adesoji elucidated on Jimoh's journey to success, noting that the inception of his groundbreaking project dates back to 2023, under the mentorship of the University's Center for Entrepreneurship Studies and Innovation. The 'Automated Chicken Feeder' was not only conceptualized but also showcased across various platforms within Osun State, including the esteemed Digital Nigeria Day at the Ministry of Innovation, the Osun State Trade Fair at Aje Market, and the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC).
