UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Recognizes Outstanding Staff with Commendation Awards

The Management of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, has honored its dedicated staff members through a commendation awards ceremony aimed at motivating and encouraging excellence in service delivery. The awards were presented last Thursday to recognize outstanding clinics, departments, and individual contributions to the hospital's mission of delivering quality healthcare.

The Accident and Emergency unit was awarded for its exceptional service delivery, while the Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) clinic was recognized as the best-organized clinic in the hospital. The Environmental Unit also received an award of excellence for maintaining a clean and hygienic hospital environment. In addition to departmental awards, a Youth Corper serving at the Histopathology Department, Miss Ifeoluwa Ajayi, was honored as the most innovative and impactful youth corper of the hospital.

During the award presentation, the Chief Medical Director of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Prof. Peter Babatunde Olaitan, reiterated the management's commitment to recognizing and appreciating diligent staff members across all levels and departments. He emphasized the hospital's dedication to fulfilling the vision of the state government, led by the action governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, in delivering quality healthcare to the people.

Dr. Ayodeji Ogungbemi, Head of the Accident and Emergency Unit, expressed gratitude on behalf of the awardees, describing the awards as a call to do more. He affirmed their unwavering support and commitment to providing qualitative healthcare services in line with global best practices.

The commendation awards ceremony took place during the presentation of this month's edition of Ground Round, titled "Employees Compensation Act 2010: Overview and Application," presented by Mrs. Folasade Owolabi, Head of Operations, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF). The event was attended by the hospital's management team, heads of departments and units, and many members of staff.
