The Scientific Committee of the Faculty of Dental Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, is pleased to invite submissions for abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2024 Scientific and Annual Conference. This event also marks the 60th Anniversary of the Faculty and is scheduled to take place from Monday, December 16 to Saturday, December 21, 2024.
The conference, themed “The Future of Research in Dentistry: The Role of Collaboration and Mentoring,” will explore the evolving landscape of dental research and the importance of collaborative efforts and mentorship in advancing the field. A sub-theme, “Flavour of Dentistry: Public Service, Public Policy, and Technology,” will address the intersection of dentistry with public service, policy-making, and technological advancements.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- Title: Maximum of 22 words in uppercase.
- Author Details: Include names, affiliations (department and institution), contact phone number, and email of the corresponding author.
- Content Structure: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Keywords: 5-7 relevant keywords.
- Formatting: Abstracts should be in English, Times New Roman, font size 12, single line spacing, and left-aligned.
- Submission Format: Editable Microsoft Word document.

- Deadline: Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Poster Presentation Guidelines:
- Format: Portrait or landscape.
- Title and Author Details: Narrow title that draws interest, including author details.
- Content: Effective use of graphics, tables, figures, and minimal text (150-500 words).
- Layout: Consistent, clean, and logically organized (Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions).
- Acknowledgements: Include if necessary.
