University of Maiduguri Renamed After Late President Muhammadu Buhari

The Federal Government has announced the renaming of the University of Maiduguri to honour late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The announcement was made by President Tinubu at a Special Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The renaming is a tribute to the late President's legacies and contributions to Nigeria. President Buhari passed away on Sunday and was buried in Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday.

The decision to rename the university reflects the government's recognition of President Buhari's impact on the country.
