A concerned student, Tsekaa Nathaniel Jighjigh, has written an open letter to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, highlighting pressing issues affecting students' well-being and academic performance.

The student has expressed concern over the mosquito infestation across the campus, particularly in hostels and evening study zones, putting students at risk of malaria and other mosquito-borne illnesses. A comprehensive fumigation exercise has been requested to mitigate this risk.

Additionally, the student has appealed for extended lighting hours and maintenance of outdoor lighting facilities in reading areas, walkways, and hostel surroundings to ensure a safe and conducive environment for late-night study sessions as exams approach.
