UNIZIK Confers Honorary Doctorate on Philanthropist Sir Ikenna Okafor
Renowned philanthropist Sir Ikenna Okafor is honored with a prestigious Honorary Doctorate Degree in Entrepreneurial Innovation from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, highlighting his impactful contributions to society and entrepreneurship.

In a remarkable recognition of his contributions to entrepreneurship and philanthropy, Sir Ikenna Okafor has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Entrepreneurial Innovation by Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Okafor, widely known for his role as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Keves Global Leasing Limited, an oil and gas servicing company, was bestowed with the prestigious degree during a special convocation ceremony held at the ASUU Secretariat Complex of the university.
Addressing the audience after receiving the honor, Okafor issued a challenge to fellow billionaires in Anambra State. He urged them to allocate $1 million each towards investments aimed at fostering job creation and economic prosperity within the state. Emphasizing the need to prioritize impactful initiatives over lavish spending, Okafor highlighted the potential for wealth generation that such investments could bring to the local community.

The Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, lauded the university's decision to confer the honorary degree upon Okafor, emphasizing the importance of recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to society. He commended the university's management for organizing the convocation ceremony, ensuring that Okafor could accept the honor in person, in accordance with academic traditions.
