UNN Awards 75k to Overall Best Graduating Students

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) recently held its Prize and Award Night for the 2023/2024 academic session, where two students were celebrated as the overall Best Graduating Students.

However, there's conflicting information regarding the students' identities and achievements.

Mba Angel Ifechukwu from the Department of Electronics Engineering and Nwigbo John Cherechim from the Department of Mechanical Engineering were initially reported as the overall Best Graduating Students, both graduating with a CGPA of 4.94. Each received a reward of ₦75,000 for their remarkable academic achievements.

Another report suggests Amarachi Eze, a Pharmacy student, emerged as the overall Best Graduating Student with a record-breaking CGPA of 4.98, setting a new benchmark in the history of Pharmacy education in Nigeria .

In a related story, Chizoba Ejiofor, the overall Best Graduating Student of UNN in a previous session with a CGPA of 4.98, has secured a fully funded Commonwealth scholarship worth over £33,000. This achievement highlights the university's commitment to fostering academic excellence and providing opportunities for its students to excel globally.
