UNN Issues Vital Notice to Prospective Corps Members Ahead of 2025 NYSC Batch “C” Mobilization

As the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) prepares for its 2025 Batch “C” mobilization, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has issued an important notice to all prospective corps members. The university is urging graduates to carefully verify their details, resolve JAMB and NIN-related issues, and ensure full compliance with all NYSC registration requirements to avoid disqualification during the mobilization process.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has announced guidelines for all prospective corps members preparing for the 2025 NYSC Batch “C” mobilization. Students on the approved Senate lists (Batch A, Addendum, and Batch B 2025) must carefully verify their names, graduation dates, and personal details to avoid mistakes that could stop them from registering for NYSC.Those with JAMB registration issues should submit their details and documents to the Careers Services Centre or email careers.registry@unn.edu.ng All students must also ensure their names appear on the JAMB Matriculation List and that their NIN details match their academic records.Any errors must be corrected before the list is uploaded to the NYSC portal. The notice was issued by Mr. Leonard Ezeme, Senior Deputy Registrar, for the Registrar.

In preparation for the National Youth Service Corps mobilization of Prospective Corps Members for its 2025 Batch “C” exercise, all candidates whose names are on the Approved University of Nigeria Senate List – Batch A & Addendum and Batch B 2025 (both Full–Time and Sandwich), should cross–check the list attached to this memorandum for errors in their Names, Date of Graduation and other Particulars. Also all outstanding candidates that have issues with their Jamb Registration Numbers and were unable to register during previous batches are required to forward their details attaching their Statement of Result and Jamb Admission Letter to Careers Services Centre, Office of the Registrar or to the email address stated below. Those that have done it before should also cross–check the attached list for errors in Names, Date of Graduation and other Particulars.

Please note that any discrepancy in your details after upload to NYSC portal whether on your Statement of Result, Names or Date of graduation, will not allow you to register in NYSC Orientation Camp. You are specifically advised to cross–check your particulars very carefully. Students whose Statement of Result are no longer valid are advised to visit Examinations Unit for rectification. Also, it is important that you confirm your name from the JAMB matriculation list. Only candidates whose names are on this list (JAMB matriculation list) are recognized as bona–fide students from various accredited institution. By implication, if your name is not on this list – JAMB matriculation list, your application to NYSC scheme for the one year National Service shall be declined.

More so, the National Identification Number (NIN) is now a requirement for online registration by Prospective Corps Members. Therefore ensure that your name in NIN corresponds with your name on the Statement of Result.

All errors, omissions or otherwise must be reported to the Careers Services Centre for immediate correction before the list is finally uploaded to the NYSC Portal.
